Founder, Anthony Caloiero

My name is Anthony Caloiero and I’m the proud owner of Antonino’s Pizzeria & Panini in Vaughan. Tradition is a huge part of our business.  We’ve been ‘Keeping it Real Since 1967’ when my father opened his first location in downtown Toronto.

I grew up in the family business, and at the young age of 9 years old, I knew this is what I wanted to do… this is where I belonged. I can remember the days after school being so eager to work with my dad.  I always had a smile on my face as I greeted all our customers.  I quickly realized that the love I had for this business was like no other.  For us it didn’t feel like work, it was the passion that helped drive us through all those lengthy and tiresome work weeks.

Together with my brother Danny (owner of Tonino’s in brampton), we not only learned the many cooking techniques that went into our  family recipes, but  the numerous sacrifices it takes to be successful.  For this reason our family secret will continue to remain in all our sauces and foods, to ensure the best in quality and taste for every customer.

Today, Antonino’s has a strong reputation for quality. In 2012, we won the Saputo’s Pizza Hall of Fame title for “#1 Pizzeria in Canada,” and while we were humbled by the award, we know that we won by putting our best effort into every single pizza we make. Our love for this business is a reflection of what we are known and famous for, an “Authentic Italian Menu”, and we put the same passion and dedication in our delicious Italian sandwiches, homemade pastas, panzerotti and so much more. Sometimes, that means long working days, but we’re always willing to put plenty of time and energy into our family-owned, family-run business, and we’re proud of the role that we play in our community. It fulfills me knowing that I’ve fed the people of Vaughan quality, authentic Italian food that you deserve.
